First, I am a general cardiologist: I will perform the initial evaluation of any cardiac or vascular problem, discuss treatment options, and if you need a sub-specialist, I will help you find just the right physician.
Second, if your problem involves coronary artery disease, I can determine if a stress test, cardiac catheterization, or interventional procedure (such as a coronary stent) is needed, and I can perform these procedures for you.
Third, if you have a potential dysrhythmia (disorder of heart rhythm) I will establish the correct diagnosis and treatment, and in some cases, identify the best sub-specialist if additional treatment is necessary.
And if you have a valvular or other structural heart disease, I can perform your echocardiogram and, if necessary, identify another specialist for your treatment.
